Description:
The Data Engineering team at H1 is responsible for collecting, curating, normalizing, and matching data from various sources worldwide, including scientific publications, clinical trials, conference presentations, and claims.
They develop data pipelines to keep information updated in real-time, provide users with relevant insights, and build automated, scalable systems for recognizing and linking different types of entities.
As the company expands its markets and data collection, the team needs to grow and scale to meet the demand.
As a Software Engineer on the Data Engineering team, you will analyze large amounts of data, provide user support in an AWS cloud environment, write production-grade pipelines using big data technologies, and manage projects from application deployment to deliver high-quality healthcare data applications.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience working with big data engineering teams and deploying products on AWS.
Strong coding skills in Python (PySpark), Java, Scala, or any proficient language, and experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
Proficiency in databases like PostgreSQL, software management tools such as Git, JIRA, and CircleCI, and understanding of computer science fundamentals.
Experience with data processing technologies like Spark Streaming, Kafka Streaming, K-SQL, Spark SQL, or Map/Reduce, and distributed file formats like Apache AVRO and Apache Parquet.
Ability to perform root cause analysis on data and processes, write clean, modular data processing code, and manage projects through all stages.
