Description:

  • AHEAD is seeking a Data Engineer to collaborate with dynamic project teams both on-site and remotely.
  • The Data Engineer will be responsible for hands-on engineering of data platforms that support clients’ advanced analytics, data science, and other data engineering initiatives.
  • This role involves building and supporting modern data environments in public cloud or multi-cloud enterprise architectures.
  • Responsibilities include orchestrating pipelines using modern Data Engineering tools/architectures and integrating existing transactional processing systems.
  • The Data Engineer will implement data pipelines to enable analytics and machine learning on rich datasets.
  • Key responsibilities include building, operationalizing, and monitoring data processing systems.
  • The role requires creating robust and automated pipelines to ingest and process structured and unstructured data from various source systems into analytical platforms using batch and streaming mechanisms.
  • The Data Engineer will implement custom applications using tools such as Kinesis and Lambda to address streaming use cases.
  • Responsibilities also include engineering and supporting data structures, maintaining ELT processes for loading data lakes, and leveraging the right tools to deliver testable, maintainable, and modern data solutions.
  • The Data Engineer will respond to customer/team inquiries, assist in troubleshooting, and work with scrum team members to estimate and deliver work inside of a sprint.
  • The role involves researching data questions, identifying root causes, and interacting closely with business users and technical resources.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3+ years of professional technical experience.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of hands-on Data Architecture and Data Modelling experience is required.
  • Candidates should have 2+ years of experience building highly scalable data solutions using Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of programming experience in languages such as Python is required.
  • Candidates must have at least 1+ years of experience working in cloud environments, specifically AWS and/or Azure.
  • Strong client-facing communication and facilitation skills are essential for this position.
