Description:
Data Engineers at Wider Circle play a crucial role in daily operations by managing customer data, which is essential for the business's success.
They collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather, validate, clean, and transfer data using technology and automation.
The data engineering team ensures the quality curation of data to facilitate timely product releases with minimal errors or bugs.
The role involves developing and maintaining data quality and accuracy dashboards and scorecards to monitor data quality and model performance.
Responsibilities include enhancing a comprehensive data quality framework, predicting data quality issues, conceptualizing data architecture, testing data post-ingestion, managing internal SLAs, and providing expert support for complex data integration problems.
The position is fully remote, allowing flexibility while working on meaningful projects.
Requirements:
A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience is required.
Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience with AWS or similar technologies (S3, Redshift, RDS, EMR).
Strong abilities in SQL and Python for at least 3 years are necessary.
Experience in building test automation suites for both test and production environments is required.
Candidates should have experience using APIs for data extraction and updates.
Proficiency with Git and version control is essential.
It is preferred to have experience with healthcare data, Salesforce, Matillion, Mulesoft, Airflow, cron, and working with Data Packages in R or Python.
Experience collaborating with Data Scientists to optimize or productionalize models is also a plus.
