Description:

The position is for a Data Engineer based in Latin America, working remotely for a company located in Canada.
The salary for this role is USD$3.5k per month, along with paid time off (PTO).
Working hours are from 9am to 5pm EST.

As a Data Engineer, the individual will design and maintain data pipelines, architectures, and workflows that support AI-driven applications.
The role involves close collaboration with AI specialists, engineers, and business teams to develop data frameworks for applications in content creation, personalization, analytics, and automation.
Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining efficient data pipelines for AI content generation and analytics, developing and optimizing ETL processes for real-time insights, building data science models, implementing systems for data-driven decisions, and managing cloud infrastructure (AWS) for AI applications.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4 to 6 years of experience in data engineering or data science.
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL are required.
Experience in building ETL pipelines and real-time data streaming using tools like Apache Airflow or Kafka is necessary.
Proficiency in AWS is essential, with expertise in serverless data processing and large-scale data storage.
A strong knowledge of database management, including SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases, is required.
Candidates should have experience in building data crawlers and integrating external data sources into workflows.
Experience working with vector databases or orchestrating Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines is also required.
Nice to have: Experience with AI-driven applications, natural language processing (NLP), or machine learning pipelines, as well as experience with Docker in AWS environments (ECR or EKS) and CI/CD pipelines.
