Description:

Civitas Learning is seeking dedicated data engineers to join their data engineering team.
The Data Engineer will play a crucial role in onboarding colleges and universities onto the cloud platform.
Responsibilities include collaborating with external customers to understand their student success goals and designing data solutions.
The role involves developing ETL transformations to map customer data systems into a canonical data model.
Data Engineers will build and operationalize data science models on AWS.
The position requires collaboration with various teams to drive innovation and best practices in data and data science.
Responsibilities also include configuring and troubleshooting API connections and Single Sign-On (SSO) for customer access.
Data Engineers will develop data pipelines for integrating institutions onto the data platform and maintain database models.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience in designing, developing, testing, and implementing complex ETL solutions using enterprise ETL tools are required.
Expertise in writing complex SQL queries, particularly with Postgres and Redshift, is essential.
A strong understanding of ETL best practices and experience with ETL tools and command line scripting is necessary.
Proficiency in developing code with command line build tools is required.
Candidates must have experience working with technical and business teams to document data integration requirements.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment is important.
Strong problem-solving, analysis skills, and attention to detail are required.
Candidates should possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
A strong customer service orientation and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly are essential.
The ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision is necessary.

The position offers a remote work opportunity for candidates located in Latin America.
The salary range for this role is $35,000 to $40,000 USD.
