Description:

The purpose of the Data Engineer position is to leverage data across the company to enhance commercial decisions and provide excellent campaign management.
Responsibilities include collecting data from various sources, sanitizing, cleansing, transforming, and consolidating this data for analysis or reporting.
The role requires writing clean, high-quality code that is easy to understand and maintain.
The Data Engineer must understand data, business, and technical requirements and apply knowledge of data extraction, transformation, and storage methodologies.
Key tasks include cleansing and preprocessing raw text data, analyzing text corpora, extracting actionable insights, building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines, ensuring data quality and integrity, assisting in indexing and vectorizing text data, and collaborating with data scientists and AI engineers.
Participation in team meetings and project planning discussions is also expected.

Requirements:

A Bachelor or Master’s degree in data science, data engineering, or Computer Science with a focus on math and statistics is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience as a data engineer building data pipelines using Python, Spark, or similar technologies.
A strong foundation in computer science principles and statistical methods is necessary.
Experience with cloud technology, specifically AWS or Azure, is required.
Candidates should have strong experience in creating data ingestion pipelines and ET processes.
Knowledge of big data tools such as Spark, Databricks, and Python is essential.
A basic understanding of common machine learning techniques and familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts is required.
Strong knowledge of scrum practices and an agile mindset are necessary.
