Description:
WerQ AI is building the world’s first Career Intelligence & Relationship Management™ (CIRM™) platform to empower professionals in their career ecosystem.
The Data Engineer will shape the data ecosystem and optimize AI models by building scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
Responsibilities include ensuring data integrity and producing actionable insights to guide product development and feature enhancements.
The role involves direct contributions to AI-driven matching, skill validation, and gamification systems for a seamless user experience.
The company is currently in beta and is preparing for a public launch while raising a seed round expected to close in February 2025.
Requirements:
Candidates must design and maintain data ingestion, storage, and transformation processes to support analytics and AI workflows.
Implement best practices for data validation, security, and compliance, particularly for sensitive user information.
Develop and refine analytical models to guide feature roadmaps and evaluate user behavior.
Collaborate with AI architects and software engineers to integrate clean, structured data for model training and inference.
Continuously optimize data pipelines for speed, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Use statistical analysis and data storytelling to provide insights for product, marketing, and business teams.
Proficiency with ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake), and frameworks like Apache Airflow, Spark, or Kafka is required.
Strong command of Python (preferred), SQL, and familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is necessary.
Hands-on experience with machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, A/B testing, and libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-learn, or PyTorch is essential.
Candidates should be comfortable deploying and managing workflows in cloud environments (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure also acceptable).
Skills in transforming complex datasets into clear, actionable insights using tools like Looker or Tableau are a plus.
Familiarity with best practices and regulations for handling sensitive user data is required.
