Remote Data Engineer

Description:

• The Data Engineer at Working Families Party will be responsible for leading the implementation, testing, and maintenance of core data pipelines and automations.
• They will maintain and create data pipelines to move data between voter contact platforms and CRMs, such as Scale to Win, Spoke, Reach, Mobilize, Action Network, and EveryAction.
• The Data Engineer will collaborate with organizers and the Engineering Director to identify and build pipeline needs across various tools to enhance organizing efforts.
• Responsibilities include debugging data discrepancies, monitoring pipeline quality, responding to ad hoc requests, and contributing to team documentation.
• The role involves working with tools like Prefect, Airflow, dbt, Github Actions, AWS, GCP, BigQuery, Redshift, DuckDB, and Python API connectors.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this position.

Requirements:

• At least four years of engineering work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in data for electoral, issue, or movement campaigns.
• Familiarity with orchestration tooling, CICD tooling, cloud computing infrastructure, columnar database systems, Git, Python API connectors, SQL, and Python.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
