Description:

  • HighLevel is a cloud-based, all-in-one white-label marketing and sales platform that empowers marketing agencies, entrepreneurs, and businesses to elevate their digital presence and drive growth.
  • The company has approximately 1200 employees across 15 countries, working remotely and in their headquarters located in Dallas, Texas.
  • The role of Data Engineer involves designing, developing, and maintaining data infrastructure and backend systems that support real-time data processing and large-scale event-driven architectures.
  • Responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code in JavaScript or Python, developing robust software solutions, implementing RESTful APIs, and designing data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
  • The Data Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data reliability, scalability, and performance, working closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers.
  • The position requires optimizing databases and data warehouses for high-performance querying and setting up monitoring and debugging systems for data pipelines.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in software development.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and optimize data processing workflows are essential.
  • A solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns is necessary.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and delivering software solutions using modern languages and frameworks such as Node.js, JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, SQL, Scala, or Java is required.
  • Experience with ETL tools and frameworks like Airflow, dbt, Apache Spark, Kafka, or Flink is needed.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS is required.
  • Strong experience with databases and warehousing technologies, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, and NoSQL databases, is necessary.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, Terraform, IaC, ML/AI data pipelines, and DevOps practices is a plus.
