The role of Data Engineer involves designing, developing, and maintaining data infrastructure and backend systems that support real-time data processing and large-scale event-driven architectures.
Responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code in JavaScript or Python, developing robust software solutions, implementing RESTful APIs, and designing data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
The Data Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data reliability, scalability, and performance, working closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers.
The position requires optimizing databases and data warehouses for high-performance querying and setting up monitoring and debugging systems for data pipelines.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in software development.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and optimize data processing workflows are essential.
A solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns is necessary.
Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and delivering software solutions using modern languages and frameworks such as Node.js, JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, SQL, Scala, or Java is required.
Experience with ETL tools and frameworks like Airflow, dbt, Apache Spark, Kafka, or Flink is needed.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS is required.
Strong experience with databases and warehousing technologies, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, and NoSQL databases, is necessary.
Familiarity with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration.
Experience with data visualization tools, Terraform, IaC, ML/AI data pipelines, and DevOps practices is a plus.
