Remote Data Engineer

Description:

• Foley is seeking an exceptional Data Engineer with expertise in ETL/ELT Tools and Processes, General Database Development, Data Warehousing, Data Delivery Automation, and Testing.
• The Data Engineer will play a crucial role in driving Foley's data analytics capabilities, evaluating tools and technologies, and expanding the data product line.
• This position offers a remote option for residents of CT, MA, SC, GA, FL, and TX.
• The role involves maintaining and evolving data pipelines using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and implementing transformation logic in AWS Redshift data warehouse.
• Responsibilities include designing, building, testing, and deploying solutions to connect to various data sources, building data extraction solutions, and assessing current technologies for improvement.
• The Data Engineer will contribute to establishing data governance policies and fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and inquisitiveness.

Requirements:

• Strong teamwork skills, sharing ownership, and welcoming criticism.
• Proficiency in fundamental engineering concepts and experience in Scrum or Agile development.
• Excellent analytical, diagnostic, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Extensive experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Microsoft SQL Server environment.
• Familiarity with version control systems, cloud native technologies, infrastructure-as-code tools, and data workflow deployment automation.
• Knowledge of database products, concepts, and programming languages like Python, C#.
• Experience with web services/APIs for data extraction and non-SSIS ETL/ELT tooling is a plus.
