Remote Data Engineer

Description:

• We are hiring a Data Engineer for our Paris office, with a fully remote option available.
• The role involves transforming raw data into actionable insights to enhance customer experiences for luxury brands.
• You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create robust data systems and pipelines that support decision-making across global operations.
• Responsibilities include analyzing and organizing raw data from diverse sources, building efficient and scalable data pipelines, and collaborating with stakeholders to align data strategies with business goals.
• You will prepare data for predictive and prescriptive models, develop tools for data discovery, quality, and governance, and innovate with algorithms and solutions to ensure data reliability and impact.
• The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring a proactive and detail-oriented mindset.

Requirements:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• A data engineering certification, such as IBM Certified Data Engineer or similar, is necessary.
• Candidates must have a proven experience of at least 2 years in building data systems and pipelines.
• Expertise in Azure or other cloud platforms and infrastructure as code is required.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala is essential.
• Strong SQL skills for analyzing complex datasets are necessary.
• Experience with cloud databases like Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery is required, with a preference for Databricks.
• Communication skills in English are essential for collaboration with the global team.
• A willingness to share knowledge with junior Data Engineers is expected.
