Remote Data Engineer

Description:

• Our client, a digital marketing agency, is looking for a skilled Data Engineer experienced in architecting scalable data solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• The role involves designing and maintaining data architectures, implementing ETL processes, managing data pipelines, optimizing databases, and utilizing data lakes for structured and unstructured data.
• The Data Engineer will collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to ensure data solutions meet business requirements.
• Security, compliance, monitoring, and optimization of data systems are key responsibilities of this role.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in data engineering roles with expertise in AWS services and building scalable data architectures.
• Proficiency in AWS tools (e.g., S3, RDS, Redshift, Glue), data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop), and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL).
• Strong problem-solving skills, data-driven mindset, and experience in performance tuning and data optimization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and attention to detail.
• Availability to overlap with EST timezone.

Additional Requirements:

• Certifications in AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar.
• Domain knowledge in the automotive industry or digital marketing sector.
