FairMoney has a strong international presence with offices in several countries, including France, Nigeria, Germany, Latvia, the UK, Türkiye, and India.
The company is actively constructing a mobile banking platform and point-of-sale (POS) solution tailored for emerging markets.
FairMoney began with a digital microcredit application available on Android and iOS devices and has since expanded its services to include current accounts, savings accounts, debit cards, and advanced POS solutions for merchants and agents.
The Data Engineer will work closely with Data Analysts/Scientists to understand business problems and translate requirements into database, ETL, or reporting solutions.
Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining integration of heterogeneous data sources for data warehousing and business intelligence solutions, implementing data models, and optimizing data warehouse architecture.
The role also involves ensuring data quality, identifying issues in data flow, and implementing best practices for data management.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of work experience in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL, databases, and OLAP Schema.
Hands-on experience in designing and implementing data ingestion/integration processes using SQL and Python is required.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database systems such as PostgreSQL or MySQL is essential.
Proficiency in developing automated workflows using Airflow or similar tools is necessary.
Candidates should have a solid understanding of data principles, system architecture, dimensional data modeling for data warehousing, and data governance principles.
Development experience in building business applications with knowledge of Bash, Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Platforms is a plus.
The ability to quickly learn new software and technologies to create prototypes for business use cases is important.
Candidates must be able to effectively form relationships with business stakeholders to promote data-driven decision-making.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
