Remote Data Engineer (AC)

Description:

• The company is seeking a Data Engineer with experience in migration projects for Google Cloud Platform.
• The role involves setting up an infrastructure foundation on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and transitioning an existing legacy data lake to a more manageable, scalable, and secure cloud-based data lake.
• The new data lake should provide the necessary data analytics capabilities to meet expanding requirements.
• Responsibilities include assessing, designing, planning, and migrating the existing on-premise or cloud data lake to Google Big Query.
• Evaluation of the present system, including workflows, data pipelines, schemas, and reports, with a focus on areas like Data Governance, ETL/ELT processes, job orchestration, tooling strategy, continuous integration, and more.

Requirements:

• Higher education in business/computer science/related field is required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with BigQuery, Data Flow, SQL, and Python is necessary.
• Proficiency in English language at a B2/C1 level is a must.
