Description:
Redhorse Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and curious Data Engineer to support the US National Defense Strategy.
The role involves translating complex business requirements into actionable data-driven insights that impact national security.
The position offers the opportunity to work on challenging problems at the forefront of data engineering for a government client, utilizing cutting-edge technologies.
Key responsibilities include developing and analyzing requirements, designing and optimizing ETL/ELT workflows using Databricks, maintaining and enhancing Python and SQL codebases, and creating intuitive dashboards and reports.
The Data Engineer will collaborate closely with government customers, other data engineers, and product teams, documenting designs and presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements:
Applicants must be US citizens with a current and active Secret US government clearance; non-citizens or those without the clearance will not be considered.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer is required.
Proven experience in building dashboards and reports using data visualization tools is necessary.
Solid skills in Python, including modular code structure, are essential.
Demonstrated experience with Databricks for data cleaning and transformation is required.
Strong SQL writing and optimization abilities are necessary for this role.
