Description:
As a Data Engineer at Warner Music Group, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and maintenance of the data platform.
You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineers across the organization to ensure data reliability, quality, and accessibility.
Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, and other native AWS data services.
You will build and optimize ETL processes for data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
Implementing and maintaining data quality checks and monitoring systems will be part of your role.
You will collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and provide solutions.
Working with cloud-based data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or Redshift will be required.
You will implement and maintain data governance and security best practices.
Contributing to the evolution of the data platform by researching and evaluating new technologies will be expected.
Participating in code reviews and contributing to the team's best practices will be part of your duties.
You will troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
You must have 4+ years of experience in a data engineering or related role.
Proficiency in Python and SQL is essential.
Experience with ETL processes and tools is required.
Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift is necessary.
Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect, or dbt is required.
A strong understanding of data modeling, data profiling concepts, and best practices is essential.
You should have a strong understanding of data quality and testing methodologies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary.
Experience with relevant technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and NoSQL databases is preferred.
Familiarity with modern software development practices (Agile, CICD) as applied to data engineering is required.
Experience working with offshore teams is a plus.
