Description:

  • As a Data Engineer at Warner Music Group, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and maintenance of the data platform.
  • You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineers across the organization to ensure data reliability, quality, and accessibility.
  • Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, and other native AWS data services.
  • You will build and optimize ETL processes for data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
  • Implementing and maintaining data quality checks and monitoring systems will be part of your role.
  • You will collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and provide solutions.
  • Working with cloud-based data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or Redshift will be required.
  • You will implement and maintain data governance and security best practices.
  • Contributing to the evolution of the data platform by researching and evaluating new technologies will be expected.
  • Participating in code reviews and contributing to the team's best practices will be part of your duties.
  • You will troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • You must have 4+ years of experience in a data engineering or related role.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL is essential.
  • Experience with ETL processes and tools is required.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift is necessary.
  • Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect, or dbt is required.
  • A strong understanding of data modeling, data profiling concepts, and best practices is essential.
  • You should have a strong understanding of data quality and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary.
  • Experience with relevant technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and NoSQL databases is preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern software development practices (Agile, CICD) as applied to data engineering is required.
  • Experience working with offshore teams is a plus.
