Description:

  • The purpose of the Data Engineer (AI/ML) position is to leverage data across the company to enhance commercial decisions and provide excellent campaign management.
  • The role involves researching, building, designing, and automating predictive models, as well as tracking their progress through metrics.
  • The candidate should possess strong communication and analysis skills, be a team player, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Responsibilities include writing clean and maintainable code, understanding business objectives, developing models to achieve these objectives, and finding innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • The role requires evaluating existing models and recommending improvements for better performance efficiency.
  • The Data Engineer will be part of the Data Services department, collaborating with a global team of data engineers and analysts.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in data science, data engineering, business intelligence, business administration, or a related field with a focus on math and statistics is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a data engineer on AI/ML projects using Python, R, or similar technologies is required.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure data engineering pipelines, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, ADLS, Azure Event Hub, and Azure SQL DB is essential.
  • A solid understanding of scrum practices and an agile mindset is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Keras, Flask) and R is required.
  • Experience in designing end-to-end ETL solutions using Microsoft Azure technology is crucial.
  • Knowledge of cloud services (Azure and AWS) and experience with BI/Data Analysis technologies is important.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies, Data Bricks, Spark, Scala, and/or JSON is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate business needs into actionable tasks and deliver projects on time and within budget are essential.
  • A strong understanding of machine learning principles and a proactive approach to challenges are required.
  • Excellent communication, interaction, project, and process management skills are necessary.
