Description:
The purpose of the Data Engineer (AI/ML) position is to leverage data across the company to enhance commercial decisions and provide excellent campaign management.
The role involves researching, building, designing, and automating predictive models, as well as tracking their progress through metrics.
The candidate must possess strong communication and analysis skills, be a team player, and work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities include writing clean and maintainable code, understanding business objectives, developing models, solving complex business problems, evaluating existing models, and ensuring quality and accuracy of results.
The position requires collaboration with a global team of data engineers and analysts within the Data Services department.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in data science, data engineering, business intelligence, business administration, or a related field with a focus on math and statistics is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a data engineer on AI/ML projects using Python, R, or similar technologies is required.
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure data engineering pipelines, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, ADLS, Azure Event Hub, and Azure SQL DB is essential.
The candidate must have a strong knowledge of scrum practices and an agile mindset.
Proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Keras, Flask) and R is necessary.
The role requires strong knowledge in designing end-to-end ETL solutions using Microsoft Azure technology.
Familiarity with cloud services (Azure and AWS) and experience with BI/Data Analysis technologies is required.
Experience with big data technologies, Data Bricks, Spark, Scala, and/or JSON is preferred.
The candidate should possess very strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of machine learning principles, and the ability to manage projects and processes effectively.
