Remote Data Engineer (all levels)

Description:

• Pomelo Care is a multi-disciplinary team focused on improving care for moms and babies through technology-driven solutions.
• The Data Engineer will play a critical role in building and orchestrating data pipelines to ingest and harmonize data from various sources.
• Responsibilities include collaborating on the design and improvement of data infrastructure and partnering with product managers and data scientists to convert raw data into actionable insights.
• The role also involves creating custom Slack emojis to express new feelings that are not yet part of the library.

Requirements:

• A bachelor's, master's, or PhD in computer science or a related field is required.
• At least two years of experience in a data engineering role within a fast-paced environment is necessary.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL or similar programming languages is essential.
• Experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines in a production setting is required.
• Knowledge of visualization tools such as Metabase or Jupyter Notebooks is needed.
• A passion for tackling complex problems while avoiding unnecessary complexity is important.
