They are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in AtScale to improve a client's loyalty program by migrating and upgrading their data analysis capabilities.
The project will involve transforming data from the curated layer into the refined layer, building the semantic layer, and defining measures, dimensions, hierarchies, and relationships within the data.
Responsibilities include conducting POC for AtScale, evaluating and recommending the best semantic layer platform, recreating existing SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) cubes, translating existing DAX code, leveraging MDX and SQL, defining measures and dimensions, and ensuring proper business logic is applied during data transformation.

Requirements:

Candidates must have deep knowledge of AtScale and MDX calculations.
Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning is required.
Expertise in SQL warehousing and using modeling methodologies such as Kimball is essential.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSAS, and SSRS is necessary.
Experience with data migration and transformation in enterprise environments is required.
Familiarity with Power BI and data visualization techniques is important.
Candidates should be able to define business logic within the context of the data model.
Comfort with cloud-based data platforms, such as Databricks, is expected.
Nice to have skills include experience with automation and CI/CD pipelines, exposure to loyalty or customer rewards systems, and industry experience in retail or restaurant analytics.
Soft skills required include the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex data issues, clear communication in English, collaboration with cross-functional teams, dedication to high-quality data solutions, and a proactive approach to embracing new tools and methodologies.
