Description:

Demyst is seeking a Data Engineer based in Australia to work remotely and collaborate with a global team.
The role involves using innovative data sets and software architecture to solve strategic use cases for leading financial institutions.
Responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams and clients to build external data-driven solutions, performing data appends and analyses, and designing scalable code blocks.
The Data Engineer will access data using Demyst's proprietary Python library, work with cloud infrastructure on AWS, leverage AutoML tools for analysis, and utilize clients' data warehouse solutions.
The candidate will be involved in projects related to entity detection, record linking, and data modeling, and will be responsible for governing releases and maintenance of production solutions.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; Master's degree preferred.
1-3 years of Python programming experience, including Pandas.
Proficiency in working with CSV, JSON, parquet, and other common data formats, as well as data cleaning and structuring (ETL experience).
Knowledge of API (REST and SOAP), HTTP protocols, API Security, and best practices.
Experience with SQL, Git, and Airflow.
Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn and adapt quickly.
