Description:

CertifID is seeking a skilled and motivated early-career Data Engineer with 2-5 years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines.
The role involves collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality and actionable data insights that enable business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include ingesting raw data from MongoDB, third-party vendors, and business applications using technologies like Fivetran and Hex.
The Data Engineer will transform data into desired structures with dbt, analyze data, and build reporting via Hex and Metabase.
The position also requires developing optimizations to improve data pipeline performance, scalability, and reliability, as well as implementing data quality checks and monitoring systems.
Enhancing documentation of available data to assist in onboarding new users for self-service report building is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

Candidates must have proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, specifically in building data pipelines and producing data for business analytics.
Familiarity with data engineering principles is required.
Applicants should be able to write SQL queries or be familiar with MongoDB.
Understanding of how to develop data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes, preferably in Python or a scripting language, is necessary.
Experience with data engineering tools such as MongoDB, Supabase, Hex, dbt, Metabase, and Elementary is essential.
Good communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible team environment are required.
Candidates should be capable of making independent decisions.
