The company aims to be strategic advisors for clients, enhancing business opportunities, creating efficiencies, automating processes through custom technologies, and providing elegant solutions to inefficient problems.
The role involves helping a client improve their loyalty program by migrating and upgrading their data analysis capabilities.
The project includes migrating the existing SQL Server backend and Microsoft Analysis Services (SSAS) to Databricks.
The goal is to replace SSAS with a new semantic layer by conducting a proof of concept (POC) for three different platforms: Microsoft Fabric, AtScale, and Cube.dev.
Responsibilities include understanding DAX and translating existing calculations into the new semantic layer technology, creating dimensions, hierarchies, and metrics in accordance with a star schema, and converting dataset population in PowerBI from AAS to the new semantic layer platform.

Requirements:

Candidates must have strong knowledge of DAX.
Proficiency in T-SQL is required.
Experience in Data Engineering with tools such as Snowflake, Fabric, Databricks, or similar is essential.
A solid understanding of Business Intelligence concepts and experience with Star Schema, Hierarchies, Dimensions, Facts, Metrics, and Calculations is necessary.
It is a plus to have experience with PowerBI, Databricks, MS Fabric, AtScale, and cube.dev.
Strong English communication skills are required.
Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
The ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex concepts clearly is essential.
