The Data Engineer will work within the Research division, focusing on building and enhancing data infrastructure for the Atlas by Murmuration product.
This role involves collaboration with stakeholders, data managers, and data scientists to design and develop solutions that support the organization's mission.
The Data Engineer will report to the Staff Data Engineer and is expected to participate in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) programming.
Requirements:
Candidates must be problem-solvers with a passion for using data and technology to drive social impact.
A degree or relevant experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
A minimum of three years of relevant experience in data engineering or a related field is necessary.
Candidates should demonstrate curiosity and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
Familiarity with data orchestration tools (e.g., Dagster, Airflow) and ELT processes (e.g., dbt) is required.
Experience with analytic databases (e.g., Snowflake) and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS) is necessary.
Candidates should have experience working flexibly within smaller teams.
Practical knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) is required.
Proficiency in Python, Docker, and container orchestration tools is necessary.
An understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
