Description:

  • The Data Engineer position at Mindera involves building, maintaining, scaling, and integrating big data platforms.
  • Responsibilities include setting up and automating Data Science models/algorithms for production use.
  • The role offers the opportunity to work with the Data Science team to provide data insights for business decisions.
  • The job entails collaborating with various departments like Finance, risk, compliance, product, and engineering to meet requirements.
  • Data Engineers will be involved in building ETL/ELT data pipelines, implementing new data solutions, and designing data pipelines using Python.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines will be developed and designed.
  • Data Modelling using downstream requirements and transformation scripts using advanced SQL and DBT will be part of the role.
  • Designing dimensional data models using the Kimball approach for the Data Warehouse is required.
  • Data quality checks and incident-free production releases are essential tasks.
  • Building relationships with team members, peers, and stakeholders is a key aspect of the role.
  • Debugging production and development issues and providing support to colleagues are part of the responsibilities.
  • Overall data platform implementation contribution is expected.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Python and Shell Scripting.
  • Experience with Cloud platforms like AWS/Microsoft Azure.
  • Knowledge of Object-oriented Programming languages.
  • Advanced experience in Data Modelling using Kimball techniques and Data Warehouse Design.
  • Strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases and cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery.
  • Familiarity with DBT (data build tool) and Pyspark.
  • Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Cloudformation.
  • Proficiency in source control, Continuous Integration, Delivery, and Deployment through CI Pipelines.
  • Preferable experience with Airflow, Docker, and CI/CD.
  • Previous experience with AWS cloud services in production is a plus.
  • Knowledge of agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban is beneficial.
  • Fluency in English is required.
