Remote Data Engineer

• The role of Data Engineer involves designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and integrations for AI/ML applications.
• Responsibilities include building and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, connecting to various data sources, implementing data quality and governance measures, collaborating with data scientists and MLOps engineers, ensuring performance and scalability, enforcing security and compliance, and monitoring and troubleshooting data-related issues.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, specifically in building ETL/ELT pipelines and managing data workflows in a production environment is required.
• Proficiency in Python or Java for data processing is essential.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases is necessary.
• Experience with cloud-based data solutions such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is required.
• Knowledge of distributed data processing tools like Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks is important.
• Understanding of containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Candidates should excel at working cross-functionally and translating data requirements into actionable solutions.
• The ability to debug complex data issues quickly and innovate new approaches to data challenges is necessary.
• Experience with Airflow, Kafka, or Azure Data Factory is preferred.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and Git-based workflows is preferred.
• Exposure to MLOps tools like MLflow or Kubeflow is a plus.
