Qohash is a cybersecurity provider focused on modernizing industry practices for detecting and protecting enterprise-sensitive information.
The company utilizes its Qostodian platform to offer a new approach to data security, specializing in Data Security Posture Management (DSPM).
The Data Engineer will analyze, design, and implement features while writing well-designed and efficient code that can be tested.
Responsibilities include correcting anomalies, testing features to meet acceptance criteria, and participating in projects from inception to launch.
The Data Engineer will advise the product owner on technological choices and contribute to the continuous improvement of development activities.
Collaboration with the security team to integrate security best practices into software development processes is essential.
The role requires effective communication of risks associated with activities, technologies, or processes.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in data warehousing and ETL Development.
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in either Apache Spark or Databricks is required.
At least 2+ years of experience in building, deploying, and optimizing data-ingestion solutions is necessary.
Experience working directly with external and internal stakeholders is essential, along with good communication skills.
A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent professional experience, is required.
Nice to have qualifications include experience in Streaming technologies (Flink, Spark structured streaming, Kafka streams) and a strong preference for candidates with Kafka experience.
Preference will be given to candidates residing in Quebec and those with experience in a startup environment, cloud (AWS or Azure) experience, and cybersecurity experience.
Bi-lingual candidates in English and French are preferred.
