Remote Data Engineer

Description:

• Viseven Group is seeking a Data Engineer for a 6-month project.
• The position is remote and available in Buenos Aires, Córdoba, and Santa Fe.
• Working hours are 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, in the EST time zone.
• Responsibilities include assisting with data import (ETL) and maintenance.
• The Data Engineer will process, cleanse, and validate the integrity of data for analysis.
• The role involves developing best practices and protocols for data usage agreements with clients and vendor partners.
• The Data Engineer will manage the flow of data from raw format to end-users.
• Responsibilities also include developing templates and infrastructure to support data visualization.
• The position requires maintaining and updating the data model and documentation to support business requirements.
• The Data Engineer will automate electronic data exchange and apply data architecture best practices.
• The role includes serving as a subject matter expert and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address data-related issues.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have excellent knowledge of relational database management systems, data modeling, data migration, and data visualization.
• Experience with data architecture using cloud computing tools is required.
• Proficiency in AWS, particularly S3, Athena, Data Pipeline, and Glue, is necessary.
• Experience with test-driven development is expected.
• Candidates must have the ability to document requirements and specifications.
• A B2+ level of English is required.
• Proven working experience in data engineering is essential.
• A BS degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or Engineering is required.
• Hands-on experience in data modeling and data visualization is necessary.
• Candidates should have experience in various coding languages such as SQL, Python, Java, or Scala.
