Remote Data Engineer

Description:

• The Data Engineer position at lastminute.com is for the Payments, Analysis, and Reporting team.
• The main responsibilities include data ingestion from fraud/payment providers, using ETL & Reporting tools for analysis and report creation, providing internal support on reporting and result analysis, supporting key KPI creation through data extraction, and managing the relationship with DWH, BI, and Product Developer as the unique Payment Operation interface.

Requirements:

• The essential requirements for this position include at least 2 years of experience in similar roles, very good SQL skills, advanced Excel knowledge, and programming skills in Python, VBA, or similar languages.
• Desirable skills include experience with Vertica (big data), Tibco Spotfire (reporting), Talend (ETL), Linux, and HTML.
