Description:

  • Keyloop is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join their team in Poland, working remotely.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing the Data Lake and existing Data Pipelines.
  • They will explore, analyze, and propose improvements to existing processes and tooling.
  • The role requires ensuring best practices are adopted and staying updated with the latest research and trends in Data Engineering.
  • The Data Engineer will support the Business Intelligence team and the wider company in querying centralized data stores, including the Data Lake.
  • They will maintain an ongoing understanding of the company’s data strategy and roadmap.
  • The position involves proactively reporting on issues and problems, managing day-to-day workload and priorities, and taking accountability for direction and output.
  • The Data Engineer will also support colleagues during client, partner, and supplier meetings as required.
  • Responsibilities include maintaining systems under the team’s control, supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, and ensuring compliance with information security and data protection principles.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in Data Engineering, with experience in developing and maintaining Data Pipelines and Data Lakes is required.
  • The candidate must have a proven record of staying up to date with the latest research and best practices in Data Engineering.
  • Excellent technical skills in Data Engineering tools and technologies are essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL is required.
  • Understanding of AWS cloud technologies, including infrastructure as code (CDK preferred), is necessary.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are needed to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A strong understanding of information security and data protection principles is required.
  • Experience in driving technical and career development, creating appropriate goals, and seeking learning opportunities is essential.
  • A good understanding and prior experience of the Agile process (Scrum or Kanban) is required.
  • Fluency with software design patterns is necessary.
  • Experience working with automotive retail technology would be a distinct advantage.
