Remote Data Engineer (Elastic Stack) at Eurofins

Description:

The Data Engineer position at Eurofins Scientific involves leading a team of engineers and taking ownership of complex tasks related to IT application monitoring and observability.
The role includes guiding and executing engineering tasks, participating in monitoring requirements elicitation, and maintaining the team's backlog.
Responsibilities also entail contributing to Architectural Decision Records (ADRs), conducting feasibility studies and proof of concepts, and consulting with the Security department on developed solutions.
The position involves reporting directly to the Program Leader and handling over 3TB of data daily to provide knowledge in an easy and understandable way to end users.

Proven leadership experience with IT teams is required for this role.
Experience in building and operating cloud infrastructure and applications on Azure using IaC with Terraform is essential.
Skills in applying DevOps principles, especially deploying, monitoring, and operating containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps, and CI/CD are necessary.
Working experience with NO-SQL database, specifically Elasticsearch with LogStash, is a must.
Knowledge in securing IT environments, including SSL, certificate management, and security concepts like encryptions and hashing, is required.
Development skills at a scripting level in bash and basic Python are preferred.
Familiarity with any modeling languages (e.g., C4, UML, ArchiMate) is beneficial.
Proficiency in data visualization and data storytelling techniques is expected.

The position offers additional variable annual compensation up to 1 monthly net salary.
