Remote Data Engineer (Elastic Stack) - Remote in Romania

Description:

• The Data Engineer (Elastic Stack) position at Eurofins Scientific involves leading a global team responsible for providing IT application monitoring and observability services to over 62,000 employees.
• The role includes tasks such as guiding engineering tasks, participating in monitoring requirements elicitation, contributing to Architectural Decision Records (ADRs), and handling feasibility studies and proof of concepts.
• The position requires experience in building and operating cloud infrastructure and applications on Azure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
• Candidates should have skills in applying DevOps principles, working with containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps, and CI/CD, and experience with NO-SQL databases, specifically Elasticsearch with LogStash.
• Additionally, knowledge in securing IT environments, development skills in scripting and basic Python, familiarity with modelling languages, data visualization, and data storytelling techniques are essential for this role.

Requirements:

• Proven leadership experience with IT teams.
• Experience in building and operating cloud infrastructure and applications on Azure using IaC with Terraform.
• Skills in applying DevOps principles, deploying, monitoring, and operating containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps, and CI/CD.
