Remote Data Engineer (EST time zone)

• The company is looking for a Data Engineer for a 6-month project with a work schedule of 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday, in the EST time zone.
• Responsibilities include assisting with data import (ETL) and maintenance, processing, cleaning, and validating data integrity for analysis, developing best practices and protocols for data usage in collaboration with clients and partners, managing data flow from raw format to end users, developing templates and infrastructure to support data visualization, maintaining and updating data models and documentation to meet business requirements, automating data exchange, applying best practices in data architecture, and acting as a subject matter expert collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve data-related issues.

Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of relational database management systems, data modeling, migration, and visualization is required.
• Experience with data architecture and the use of cloud computing tools is necessary.
• Proficiency in AWS, particularly S3, Athena, Data Pipeline, and Glue is essential.
• Experience in test-driven development is required.
• Ability to document requirements and technical specifications is necessary.
• A B2+ level of English is required.
• Proven experience in the field of data engineering is mandatory.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, or engineering is required.
• Practical experience in data modeling and visualization is necessary.
• Experience with various programming languages such as SQL, Python, Java, or Scala is required.
