Remote Data Engineer (EU iGaming, WFH)

Description:

• The Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines to process and analyze web traffic and other business-critical data.
• The role involves implementing systems to monitor data quality, including building mechanisms for identifying discrepancies and inconsistencies.
• The engineer will develop and configure alerting systems to promptly notify teams of data issues or pipeline failures.
• Responsibilities include optimizing data pipelines and workflows for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• The Data Engineer will collaborate with other internal stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• The position requires managing and maintaining data storage solutions, including databases and data lakes.
• Implementing data governance best practices to ensure data security, compliance, and integrity is essential.
• The engineer will research and integrate new tools and technologies to enhance data processing and analysis capabilities.
• Writing and maintaining technical documentation for data pipelines, processes, and tools is also part of the job.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python is required.
• Hands-on experience with GCP, Azure, or AWS is necessary.
• Experience with implementing data quality checks and creating basic dashboards is essential.
• Knowledge of the basics of CI/CD is required.
• A background in the iGaming industry is a nice-to-have but not mandatory.
