Description:

  • Dandy is transforming the dental industry by integrating and simplifying every function of dental practices through technology.
  • The Data Engineer will shape the future of Dandy’s data engineering and contribute to the development of a high-performing data team.
  • Responsibilities include leading data infrastructure development, contributing to the data platform, taking ownership of data pipelines, shaping engineering best practices, collaborating across teams, optimizing and maintaining workflows, and documentation & knowledge sharing.
  • The role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for cross-functional teams.
  • The Data Engineer will ensure the data platform is robust, scalable, and integrates seamlessly with various data sources and stakeholders.
  • The position requires a focus on building production-ready, efficient, and resilient data systems while driving the adoption of best practices for data engineering.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong background in building production-ready data workflows and optimizing data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in Python, Airflow/Dagster, DBT, and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP is required.
  • Hands-on experience in productionizing data workflows, focusing on performance, monitoring, and resilience is essential.
  • The candidate must excel at collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A growth-oriented mindset is necessary, with a commitment to continuous learning and taking on new challenges.
  • The candidate must be based in a time zone within 3 hours of New York for seamless collaboration.
