The Data Engineer will shape the future of Dandy’s data engineering and contribute to the development of a high-performing data team.
Responsibilities include leading data infrastructure development, contributing to the data platform, taking ownership of data pipelines, shaping engineering best practices, collaborating across teams, optimizing and maintaining workflows, and documentation & knowledge sharing.
The role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for cross-functional teams.
The Data Engineer will ensure the data platform is robust, scalable, and integrates seamlessly with various data sources and stakeholders.
The position requires a focus on building production-ready, efficient, and resilient data systems while driving the adoption of best practices for data engineering.

Requirements:

A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong background in building production-ready data workflows and optimizing data pipelines.
Proficiency in Python, Airflow/Dagster, DBT, and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP is required.
Hands-on experience in productionizing data workflows, focusing on performance, monitoring, and resilience is essential.
The candidate must excel at collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
A growth-oriented mindset is necessary, with a commitment to continuous learning and taking on new challenges.
The candidate must be based in a time zone within 3 hours of New York for seamless collaboration.
