Description:

  • The Data Engineer will support efforts to integrate, validate, enrich, and aggregate healthcare data for use by analysts and data scientists.
  • Responsibilities include finding new sources of information, ensuring data is up to date, and translating data for analytics teams.
  • Design and implement data ingestion pipelines using Databricks on Azure.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines, automate manual processes, and work on efficient data loading processes.
  • Implement data lake architecture best practices and identify new data sources.
  • Participate in agile processes and support continuous improvements in data processing.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of work experience in a technical data engineering or data science role.
  • Experience in building ETL processes and working with healthcare data from various sources.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field like statistics, mathematics, engineering, or computer science.
  • Familiarity with messy data, investigative skills, and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguous results and ability to build processes from scratch.
