Description:
The Data Engineer will support efforts to integrate, validate, enrich, and aggregate healthcare data for use by analysts and data scientists.
Responsibilities include finding new sources of information, ensuring data is up to date, and translating data for analytics teams.
Design and implement data ingestion pipelines using Databricks on Azure.
Build and maintain data pipelines, automate manual processes, and work on efficient data loading processes.
Implement data lake architecture best practices and identify new data sources.
Participate in agile processes and support continuous improvements in data processing.
Requirements:
4+ years of work experience in a technical data engineering or data science role.
Experience in building ETL processes and working with healthcare data from various sources.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field like statistics, mathematics, engineering, or computer science.
Familiarity with messy data, investigative skills, and attention to detail.
Comfortable working with ambiguous results and ability to build processes from scratch.
