Description:
- The Data Engineer II position at fabric involves designing data solutions at scale using best practices and leading industry tools.
- Responsibilities include supporting cost management efforts, collaborating with Product Managers to create data systems, and working with Engineering Managers to improve fabric Data infrastructure.
- The role also entails debugging and identifying data issues, optimizing and managing databases, implementing data security and governance practices, and staying up-to-date with industry trends in data engineering and big data.
Requirements:
- Strong theoretical understanding of data design.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies.
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud providers for hosting, securing, and scaling data solutions.
- Proficiency in building Data Pipelines for advanced analytics and/or Machine Learning needs.
- Knowledge of data storage approaches like data lakes and data warehouses.
- Ability to advise engineer managers on appropriate data solutions for customer needs.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Degree in Computer Science or similar field.
