Description:

As a Data Engineer II, you will serve as a bridge between the engineering and finance teams, contributing to essential processes that drive the company.

The role involves direct interaction with high-level contacts at hedge funds, banks, and asset originators, providing insights to address complex questions.
You will work with modern open-source technologies such as Apache Spark, Airflow, and DBT, in a cloud-native environment on Google Cloud Platform.
Requirements:
You must have 3+ years of professional experience writing production-ready code in languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
A minimum of 2 years of experience working directly with data pipelines is required, with experience in loan-related datasets being a plus.
You should possess knowledge of relational data concepts and be comfortable performing ad-hoc data exploration using SQL.
Experience with big data tools and optimization of data storage and computation is necessary.
A strong interest in both engineering and finance is essential, along with the ability to understand investor evaluations of loan portfolios.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills are required to work effectively with analysts and clients.
