Description:
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join the Music Promotion & S4A Studio.
The role involves building powerful tools for artists and labels to analyze their music performance on Spotify.
The team, CAMP, focuses on creating canonical metrics for Spotify for Artists and maintaining comprehensive music consumption datasets.
Responsibilities include building and scaling batch data pipelines on Scio and GCP, collaborating on backend services, and defining important metrics with Product and Design teams.
The position requires prioritizing technical debt, optimizing data quality, and collaborating with engineers, product managers, and data scientists.
The work environment is agile, emphasizing continuous experimentation and iteration on new product objectives.
Requirements:
Candidates should have experience with large-scale heterogeneous data and distributed systems such as Hadoop, BigTable, or Cassandra.
Proficiency in writing distributed data pipelines in Java or Scala is required.
Knowledge of data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques is essential.
A commitment to agile software processes, data-driven development, and blameless incident response is expected.
Strong collaboration and coordination skills across teams are necessary.
The candidate should be dedicated to team improvement through mentorship and accountability.

The United States base salary range for this position is $122,716.00 - $175,308, plus equity.
