The Engineering team at TRACTIAN is focused on developing cutting-edge infrastructure, technologies, and products to harness the power of IoT data.
As a Software Engineer focusing on IoT Systems, you will develop and enhance software solutions for managing and processing large volumes of sensor data.
You will collaborate closely with the sensor data team, sensor firmware team, and the Machine Condition Monitoring product team to ensure reliable and timely availability of sensor data.
Your daily activities will include designing, building, and maintaining robust applications using Python, Go, and/or Rust.
Responsibilities include designing high-performance data-intensive applications, implementing queue mechanisms for data streams, creating tools for internal teams to access sensor data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, optimizing data processing workflows, and resolving performance bottlenecks.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields is required.
Proven experience as a Software Developer/Software Engineer or in a similar role, with expertise in Internet of Things or experience handling large data volumes is necessary.
Technical proficiency in programming languages such as Go and Python, along with experience in event-driven architecture and queue tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ, is essential.
A proficient understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and advanced algorithms is required.
Good knowledge of database technologies such as Postgres, Scylla, Mongo, ClickHouse, and Redis is necessary, along with familiarity with security best practices in software integration.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under strict deadlines are required.
Experience in fast-paced environments and critical systems with high SLA requirements is necessary.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders are essential.
Experience with project documentation and maintenance is required.
Advanced proficiency in English is mandatory.
