Remote Data Engineer (m/f/d)

Description:

• Bitly is looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join the Engineering team and play a crucial role in supporting the data infrastructure and pipeline.
• The Data Engineer will be responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining infrastructure to deliver data to internal stakeholders.
• The role involves contributing to the development of a Data Platform that not only feeds data into a global data warehouse but also supports company-wide tools with operational data.
• Bitly operates globally and across various platforms, processing a large volume of data through hundreds of servers, multiple services, and real-time data streams.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in data engineering.
• Proficiency in clearly communicating technical concepts to both engineers and other parts of the organization.
• Expertise in SQL and experience with at least one cloud SQL platform like BigQuery or Redshift.
• Fluency in Python.
• Familiarity with web protocols, clients, and servers.
• Proactive in problem-solving and seeking support from team members.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote team.
• Experience with Go (Golang), Scrum, Apache Airflow, Apache Beam, BI and visualization tools, and Terraform.
