The role is for a Data Engineer in the OpenData Commercial team, which supports the industry by providing reference data across the healthcare ecosystem.
The Data Platform Engineering team delivers tools and data processing pipelines to build the global data core for life sciences in over 100 countries.
Responsibilities include building data tools to streamline operations globally, collaborating with cross-functional teams, contributing to the Data Engineering community, and developing a data validation framework for quality control processes.
Candidates must be based in Spain and hold legal work authorization, as Veeva does not sponsor employment visa processes for this role.

Requirements:

Candidates must have over 3+ years of hands-on Python development experience for production systems.
Proficiency in data cloud computing technologies (EMR, Databricks) within leading cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) is required.
Skills in designing and implementing data pipelines using distributed storage platforms are necessary.
Candidates should demonstrate analytical skills and a structured approach to software design.
A strong intrinsic desire to learn and fill in missing skills is essential.
