The role is for a Data Engineer in the OpenData Commercial team, which supports the industry by providing reference data across the healthcare ecosystem.
The Data Platform Engineering team delivers tools and data processing pipelines to build the global data core for life sciences in over 100 countries.
Responsibilities include building data tools to streamline operations globally, collaborating with cross-functional teams, contributing to the Data Engineering community, and developing a data validation framework for quality control processes.
Candidates must be based in Portugal and hold legal work authorization, as Veeva does not sponsor employment visa processes for this role.

Requirements:

Candidates must have over 3+ years of hands-on Python development experience for production systems.
Proficiency in data cloud computing technologies (EMR, Databricks) within leading cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) is required.
Candidates should be skilled in designing and implementing data pipelines using distributed storage platforms.
Demonstrated analytical skills and a structured approach to software design are necessary.
A strong intrinsic desire to learn and fill in missing skills is essential.
Candidates must be highly proactive in finding ways to overcome challenges.
