The Data Engineer position at Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia focuses on improving data engineering skills.
The role involves working with a vast amount of data and participating in cloud transformation towards GCP.
Responsibilities include building databases/data lakes and developing data pipelines for LLM and AI models.
The position offers a potential career path to become a Lead/Senior Data Engineer or Data Scientist.
Key tasks include ensuring the functionality and optimization of ETL process chains, designing and maintaining database structures, managing the life cycle of database tools, and collaborating with business leaders to define data needs.
The role also involves supporting IT solutions based on user stories and driving data-related innovation across the organization.

Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of experience with most of the following technologies is required: cloud technologies (preferably GCP or AWS), Python programming, ETL/ELT development in classical DWHs (Oracle, DB2, Teradata), PL/SQL, and data modeling.
Experience with SAP BO Data services, Information design tool, and Web intelligence is preferred.
Knowledge of Oracle 12c and TMSP AAX² is beneficial.
Development experience in the Microsoft Power BI environment and MS-BI suite is required.
Familiarity with CI/CD processes using GitLab is necessary.
Candidates must have active communication skills in English at least at a B2 level.
