Description:

The Data Engineer will report to the Data Team Lead and work full-time from home.
Responsibilities include designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, optimizing data processing and management of large datasets, and assisting in database design and development.
The role involves writing and automating data scripts using SQL and Python for data manipulation and implementing custom transformations.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to understand business needs and translate them into efficient database designs.
The Data Engineer will improve database performance and architecture by reviewing, refactoring code, troubleshooting issues, and performing debugging procedures on database scripts and programs.
Ensuring data security and documenting processes is crucial, following best practices for data storage, backups, and archiving.
Requirements:
Candidates must have an advanced level of English language proficiency.
Proficiency in SQL and Python is required, along with experience in working with databases (both SQL and NoSQL).
Experience with APIs, familiarity with Airflow, and knowledge of Big Data technologies are considered a significant advantage.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills are necessary for this role.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking are essential.
A Bachelor's degree in information systems, information technology, computer science, or a similar field is required.
