Description:

  • Puzzle is seeking a curious and collaborative Data Engineer / Analytics Consultant with 3–5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence.
  • The role involves working closely with clients to implement end-to-end data solutions, including building data pipelines and modeling KPIs.
  • Responsibilities include designing and implementing data warehouse solutions, ETL/ELT pipelines, and business intelligence tools.
  • The Data Engineer will develop data models tailored to clients’ KPIs, validate and test data models for accuracy, and support clients’ data environments.
  • Collaboration on deliverables is essential, whether working independently or as part of a consulting team.
  • The position operates within a project management framework (Agile/Scrum) to align deliverables with organizational goals.
  • The Data Engineer will guide clients on optimizing their data stacks for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or business intelligence.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehousing is required.
  • A preferred first-level Snowflake Certification, or one that is underway, is necessary.
  • Strong SQL skills are essential, with the ability to write complex queries and perform data transformations.
  • Experience with Python for scripting and data processing is required.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools like DBT and FiveTran is preferred.
  • Experience with AWS or Google Cloud (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery) is necessary.
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI is required.
  • Candidates must be able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in a consulting or professional services environment is preferred.
  • Industry experience in Media & Entertainment or Telecom is a plus.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering) is required.
  • A passion for solving diverse business problems and learning new technologies quickly is essential.
