Description:

The Data Engineer will deliver data-focused, cloud-native software solutions to various clients using analytical, technical, and conceptual skills.
The role requires effective verbal and written communication to keep clients, senior management, and staff aligned and engaged.
The Data Engineer will engage directly with client stakeholders and may serve as the primary contact for customers.
Responsibilities include developing technical and non-technical connections within teams and with customer stakeholders.
The position involves applying software development experience using analytics tools, programming languages, databases, and data visualization tools.
The Data Engineer will build, test, scale, and maintain cloud-native data pipelines and contribute to the design and delivery of complex data solutions.
Experience with OLTP and OLAP databases is required, with familiarity in Redshift being a plus.
Familiarity with DevOps tools and infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation and Terraform is necessary.
Hands-on experience with serverless compute platforms and AWS AI/ML services is also required.
Requirements:
An AS or BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physical Science, Mathematics, or a related area is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education.
A minimum of 3-5 years of software development experience is required.
Strong communication skills are necessary to convey complex information clearly to team members and customer stakeholders.
Experience implementing a data pipeline for an enterprise application is essential.
Candidates should possess strong analysis, critical-thinking capabilities, and problem-solving skills.
A strong focus on exceptional customer service is required.
Candidates must be highly organized, accurate, and possess strong initiative and follow-through skills.
An aptitude for working in a collaborative, self-organizing team environment is necessary, along with a willingness to provide and accept feedback.
The ability to work independently while asking questions when needed is important.
AWS Certification (Associate or Foundational) or applicable industry certifications are preferred.
