Description:
The Carwow Group is seeking a Data Engineer (SDE 3) to join their team, which is focused on empowering all Carwow teams with access to reliable, actionable data.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust ETL/ELT data pipelines.
Responsibilities include writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction and transformation, implementing and managing data workflows using tools like Airflow, and building and maintaining data models and warehouses using Snowflake or similar technologies.
The Data Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data quality, integrity, and security across the data lifecycle.
The position is fully remote, with opportunities for team bonding events in London and a supportive environment for career progression.
Requirements:
Candidates should have significant experience in data engineering and be comfortable writing advanced Python and SQL.
Extensive experience in building ETL/ELT data pipelines is required, along with experience using data transformation tools like dbt.
Familiarity with managing script dependencies using tools like Airflow and substantial data warehouse experience using Snowflake or similar technologies is necessary.
While not mandatory, experience with Terraform, Ruby, data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI), Amplitude, DevOps, Heroku, Kafka, and AWS/GCP is a plus.
