Description:
The Data Engineer Specialist position at Acentra Health involves being responsible for the successful delivery of technology initiatives in a multi-Cloud platform, supporting Sales, Growth, and Business Development requirements.
The role includes preparing Data Engineering requirements, participating in meetings to understand requirements, building Logical and Physical Data Models, and contributing to code refactoring and data model re-engineering.
The Data Engineer Specialist will work on query optimization, debugging, and performance tuning, maintain and optimize data pipelines and workflows using AWS services, ensure data security and compliance in cloud environments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support scalable data architectures.
The position also involves enhancing Data Engineering skills, mentoring other developers, and presenting technical analysis to internal and external clients.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
10+ years of hands-on experience in database programming and performance tuning using SQL, relational database management systems (RDBMS) like Oracle, UNIX, and shell scripting.
Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
Experience in the healthcare industry, Medicaid, and/or Medicare.
Proficiency in relational (Oracle, Postgres) and non-relational databases (NoSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL / PL/SQL, data modeling, and database development.
Experience in data partitioning, data retention, data archival strategies, and database security.
Familiarity with AWS services like Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, IAM roles, S3, DynamoDB, and RDS.
Experience with Oracle 19c; familiarity with Postgres is a plus.

The pay range for this position is $121,900.00 - $182,900.00 annually, with placement depending on years of experience and skill level.
