Description:

The Data Engineer will be part of the Technical Intelligence (TechInt) team, responsible for reconnoitering the blockchain industry and providing insights on new trends and projects.
The role involves maintaining and setting up data solutions and services, aiding in the maturation of the data ingestion pipeline, and creating a cloud-native data warehouse.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining automated data ingestion pipelines from various sources, simplifying existing data pipelines, and researching datasets for relevance.
The Data Engineer will design a data warehouse for analysts and APIs, collaborate with data scientists to operationalize ML models, and work closely with leadership to define requirements.
The role requires ensuring systems are functional, available, and monitored for performance and reliability.
Requirements:
A BSc/MSc in a Computer Science field or equivalent practical experience is required.
Candidates must have 4+ years of work experience in data and software engineering, including data storage, manipulation, and development for software applications and data systems.
Preferable work experience with blockchain technology is desired.
Professional proficiency in English is necessary.
Knowledge of big data processing platforms (e.g., Spark, Databricks, Google BigQuery), data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow), and data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, Polars) is required.
Familiarity with cloud services management, specifically AWS (e.g., Amazon S3, RDS, Redshift) or GCP, is essential.
Candidates should have knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, Mssql) and be able to write highly optimized SQL.
Knowledge of docker container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Travis, Jenkins) is necessary.
Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) and blockchain on-chain data representation is required.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with technical and non-technical partners are essential.
